About Us: Our Story of Burnt Pasta, Loud Music, and Falling in Love
Let’s get one thing straight: we’re not professional chefs. We’re Sofia and Leo, and our love story is seasoned with a little too much garlic, a few smoke alarms, and a whole lot of laughter. Welcome to Cookify Me, our happy, chaotic corner of the internet where the food is delicious and the rules are optional.
Let me take you back to our first “fancy” date. I’m Sofia, I’m 26. Leo (he’s 27, and the guy with the cool tattoos) decided he was going to impress me by cooking a complicated Italian dinner. An hour later, the smoke alarm was our soundtrack, the pasta was somehow both crunchy and soggy, and the sauce looked… sad.
I didn’t see a disaster. I saw him, covered in a dusting of flour, looking so defeated. And I just started laughing. Not at him, but with him. In that moment, we threw the sad pasta in the bin, ordered pizza, and I knew this was my person. It was never about the perfect meal; it was about tackling the chaos together.
That night set the tone for our entire relationship. Our kitchen isn’t a pristine, silent laboratory. It’s our playground. It’s where we dance to loud music, argue about how much garlic is too much garlic (spoiler: there’s no such thing), and celebrate our small wins and big life moments.
So, why a blog?
Honestly, it started as a joke. Our friends saw our silly Instagram stories of kitchen mishaps and surprisingly successful creations and started asking for the recipes. They weren’t asking for complicated culinary guides; they wanted to know how we made it fun. They wanted the real story, the messes, and the music playlists.
We realized that maybe the “perfect” food blog wasn’t what people needed. Maybe they needed a space that felt like cooking with friends. A place where it’s okay if you burn the first pancake. A place where making a mess is part of the creative process.

Meet the Team
- Sofia (26): That’s me! I’m the Flavor Queen and the Chief of Making-It-Work. I follow my heart (and my taste buds), and I believe the best recipes are guidelines, not rules. I’m usually the one making the glorious mess.
- Leo (27): He’s the Big Idea Guy and our official photographer. He’s the one who’ll say, “What if we tried adding this?” which leads to either our greatest successes or our most hilarious failures. He’s my biggest supporter, always there to capture the moment.
