Make sweet, crispy pretzel bites quickly using your air fryer. These small dough pieces are coated in a simple cinnamon sugar mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Remove the pizza dough from the can and separate it into small, bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch each.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating. Set aside.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix the water and baking soda. This creates a quick pretzel bath.
  4. Dip each dough piece first into the baking soda and water mixture, coating it lightly.
  5. Place the coated dough pieces into the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. You will need to cook in batches.
  6. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the bites are puffed and lightly golden brown.
  7. While the bites are cooking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  8. Once the bites are cooked, immediately toss them in the melted butter until coated.
  9. Transfer the buttered bites to the bowl with the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss until fully coated.
  10. Serve the pretzel bites warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure your air fryer basket is not overloaded during cooking.
  • If you want a dipping sauce, mix 4 ounces of softened cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for a simple frosting.
  • If the bites seem too soft after the first cook time, return them to the air fryer for 1-2 more minutes at 350°F (175°C) before buttering and sugaring.
