Make exceptionally crispy garlic parmesan mushrooms quickly in your air fryer. This recipe delivers intense flavor with minimal oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Place half of the seasoned mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  5. Air fry for 6 minutes.
  6. Remove the basket, shake well, and sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the first batch and repeat the process with the remaining mushrooms, seasoning, and cheese.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For the crispiest results, ensure the mushrooms are dry before tossing them with oil.
  • Do not skip the preheating step; it helps achieve immediate crispness.
  • If your air fryer basket is small, cook in three batches to prevent steaming.
