- 1 pound cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved or quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- In a medium bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place half of the seasoned mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket.
- Air fry for 6 minutes.
- Remove the basket, shake well, and sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms. Toss gently to coat.
- Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the first batch and repeat the process with the remaining mushrooms, seasoning, and cheese.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving immediately.
Notes
- For the crispiest results, ensure the mushrooms are dry before tossing them with oil.
- Do not skip the preheating step; it helps achieve immediate crispness.
- If your air fryer basket is small, cook in three batches to prevent steaming.
