Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Place the potato cubes in a bowl and soak them in cold water for at least 15 minutes. Drain the water completely and pat the potatoes very dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
In the same bowl, toss the dry potato cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 15 minutes. Shake the basket well.
Continue to air fry for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the basket from the air fryer. Immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot potatoes and toss gently to coat.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Drying the potatoes thoroughly after soaking is the most important step for achieving a crispy exterior.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for the best texture.
For extra garlic flavor, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic to the oil mixture, but be careful not to burn it.
