Make quick, fluffy, and crispy garlic knots in your air fryer using simple dough and a rich garlic butter coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface. Unroll the dough and gently stretch it into a rough rectangle.
  3. Cut the dough into 12 equal strips, about 1 inch wide.
  4. Take one strip and gently stretch it slightly, then tie it into a simple knot. Place the knot into the air fryer basket, leaving a small space between each knot for air circulation. Repeat until the basket is full, working in batches if necessary.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Brush the tops of the dough knots generously with half of the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through. Cooking time varies by air fryer model.
  8. Remove the knots from the air fryer. Immediately brush them with the remaining garlic butter mixture.
  9. Sprinkle with extra grated Parmesan cheese before serving hot.

Notes

  • If you use homemade dough, ensure it is fully proofed before cutting and shaping.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches to guarantee crispiness.
  • If the knots stick, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before placing the dough in.
