Ingredients
Scale
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Place the sweet potato cubes in a large bowl.
Drizzle the olive oil over the cubes and toss until they are evenly coated.
Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and smoked paprika over the potatoes and toss again to combine the seasoning.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary for best crisping.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Check for doneness: the cubes should be tender when pierced with a fork and browned on the edges.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying them completely.
If you prefer a sweet flavor, skip the paprika and toss the cooked cubes with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
If your cubes are smaller than 1 inch, reduce the cooking time slightly.
