Make this quick, creamy, and tangy sauce at home in five minutes. It tastes just like the classic fast-food special sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  2. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
  5. Use this sauce immediately on burgers, fries, or sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a slightly sweeter sauce, add 1/2 teaspoon of granulated sugar.
  • If you do not have sweet pickle relish, use finely chopped dill pickles and add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  • Chill time is important; the longer it chills, the better the flavor develops.
