Crispy and spicy cauliflower bites made in the air fryer, a perfect vegetarian alternative to buffalo wings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving
  • Celery sticks, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk milk.
  3. Dip cauliflower florets first in milk, then in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Place coated florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together buffalo sauce, melted butter, and honey (if using).
  7. Once cauliflower is cooked, toss gently with the buffalo sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  8. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
  • Ensure cauliflower florets are dry before coating for best results.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce and honey to your preferred taste.
