Make a fast and satisfying snack or breakfast by baking a bagel with a blend of three melted cheeses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bagel, sliced in half
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of dried chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the two bagel halves cut-side up on a small baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, and chives until combined.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the cut surface of both bagel halves.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the bagel are lightly toasted.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the bagel halves lightly before adding the cheese mixture.
  • Use a broiler for the last minute to achieve a slightly browned, bubbly top on the cheese.
  • Substitute Gruyère or Monterey Jack for one of the listed cheeses for a different flavor profile.
