Ingredients
Scale
2 large apples
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
Core the apples and slice them very thinly, about 1/16 inch thick. A mandoline is helpful here.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar.
Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the apple slices.
Bake for 2 to 3 hours, or until the apple chips are dry and crisp. Flip them halfway through baking.
Let them cool completely on the baking sheets before serving.
Notes
For best results, use firm apples like Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp.
Ensure the apple slices are very thin for even crisping.
Store cooled apple chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
