Follow this simple recipe to cook thick-cut pork chops in your air fryer until they are crispy on the outside and juicy inside, finished with a rich garlic butter coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Set up a standard breading station: place flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in a second, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
  3. Dredge each pork chop first in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Finally, press the chop firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the pork chops carefully. Continue to air fry for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden brown and crispy.
  7. While the chops finish cooking, prepare the garlic butter: Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  8. Once cooked, immediately brush the hot garlic butter mixture generously over both sides of the pork chops.
  9. Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spray the tops of the breaded chops lightly with cooking spray before placing them in the air fryer.
  • If your chops are thinner than 1 inch, reduce the total cooking time by 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Use bone-in chops for better moisture retention.
