Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This simple crockpot steak recipe uses a rich garlic butter sauce for maximum flavor with minimal hands-on time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat the steak pieces.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the steak in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 2 hours, until the steak is tender.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  7. Pour the melted garlic butter mixture over the cooked steak bites in the slow cooker. Stir gently to coat everything.
  8. Stir in the fresh chopped parsley.
  9. Serve your juicy crockpot steak bites immediately over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the steak cubes quickly in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • This recipe is great for a weeknight steak slow cooker dinner.
