Make a rich and creamy garlic butter gnocchi entirely in one pan for a fast, simple weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package shelf-stable potato gnocchi
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  3. Add the uncooked gnocchi and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the gnocchi is tender and most of the liquid has evaporated.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and coats the gnocchi.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, cook for an extra minute or two until the cream reduces slightly.
  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic for a little heat.
  • Use store-bought gnocchi for the fastest preparation time.
