Make tender steak bites coated in a rich, garlicky cream sauce using just one pan for quick preparation and minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season them evenly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid crowding the pan.
  3. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the broth simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, cream cheese cubes, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Whisk gently until the cream cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Return the seared steak bites to the skillet. Stir to coat them completely in the sauce.
  8. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the steak reaches your desired doneness.
  9. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Use sirloin or filet mignon for the most tender results.
  • For a thicker sauce, let it simmer uncovered for a few extra minutes before adding the steak back in.
  • Serve these steak bites over rice, mashed potatoes, or alongside steamed green beans.
