Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 lemon, thinly sliced for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the garlic butter sauce.
Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over the asparagus and toss to coat. Spread the asparagus in a single layer.
Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Brush the remaining garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Arrange the thin lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
Serve immediately with the roasted asparagus.
Notes
For moist salmon, avoid overcooking. Check for doneness at the 12-minute mark.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add one more clove of minced garlic to the butter mixture.
You can substitute broccoli florets or green beans for the asparagus if you wish.
