Make a refreshing, sweet, and spiced iced cold brew at home using a simple brown sugar cinnamon syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar (for syrup)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (for syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for syrup)
  • 1/2 cup milk or preferred alternative (for serving)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: Combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Do not boil.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool completely, then remove the cinnamon stick.
  3. Prepare your drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of the cooled brown sugar cinnamon syrup into the glass. Adjust amount to your taste.
  5. Add 1 cup of cold brew concentrate over the syrup and ice.
  6. Slowly pour 1/2 cup of milk over the top. Stir gently before drinking.

Notes

  • If you do not have cold brew concentrate, use 2 cups of strong brewed coffee instead, but the flavor intensity will change.
  • For a creamier texture, use oat milk or half-and-half instead of regular milk.
  • You can store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
