Make a thick, cold smoothie that tastes like a classic orange creamsicle using simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 4-6 ice cubes (if needed for thickness)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen orange juice concentrate, yogurt, milk, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using) into your blender.
  2. Blend on low speed initially, then increase to high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick.
  3. If the smoothie is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. If the smoothie is not cold enough or thick enough, add the ice cubes and blend again until incorporated.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute Greek yogurt with a thick coconut or soy yogurt and use maple syrup as the sweetener.
  • To make this a lower sugar option, omit the added honey or maple syrup.
  • If you do not have frozen concentrate, use 1 cup of fresh orange juice and add 1 cup of frozen banana chunks or extra ice.
