Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning mix
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a shallow dish, whisk the egg. In a separate dish, combine the breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, salt, and pepper. Mix these dry ingredients well.
Dip each pork chop first into the whisked egg, letting excess drip off.
Press the egg-coated pork chop firmly into the cheddar ranch breadcrumb mixture until both sides are fully coated.
Place the coated pork chops on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the tops lightly with olive oil.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the cheese topping is melted and lightly golden.
Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra moisture, you can quickly sear the coated chops in a hot skillet for 1 minute per side before transferring them to the oven.
Use boneless loin chops for the fastest cooking time.
If you do not have ranch seasoning mix, substitute with 1 tablespoon dried parsley, 1 teaspoon dried dill, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
