Ingredients
Scale
64 oz Red Guava Syrup (bulk size)
1 cup Sparkling Water
1/2 cup White Rum (optional)
1 Lime, juiced
1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves
1 cup Heavy Cream
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 cup Butter, softened
1 large Egg
1/2 cup Milk
Instructions
For Guava Sparklers: Mix 4 oz of red guava syrup with 8 oz of sparkling water and 1 oz of lime juice per serving. Add rum if desired. Serve over ice.
For Guava Whipped Cream: Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form. Slowly add 2 tablespoons of red guava syrup and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Use as a dessert topping.
For Guava Pound Cake Glaze: Whisk 1/2 cup of red guava syrup with 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled pound cake.
For Guava Pancakes: Add 1/4 cup of red guava syrup to your standard pancake batter ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, egg, milk). Mix until just combined. Cook on a griddle until golden brown. Serve immediately with extra syrup.
Store any remaining syrup in a sealed container in a cool, dark place.
Notes
If you prefer a less sweet glaze, reduce the amount of syrup used in the glaze recipe.
For cocktails, use chilled ingredients to maintain the best flavor profile.
You can substitute the rum in the sparkler with club soda for a non-alcoholic option.
