- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 10-inch oven-safe skillet.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Pour the melted butter and milk into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter evenly over the peaches in the skillet.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
- Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- You can use frozen peaches if fresh ones are not available, but thaw them first and drain any excess liquid.
