Make rich, creamy chocolate fudge quickly using only three simple ingredients. This recipe is foolproof and perfect for a fast dessert or holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips.
  3. Microwave on high for 60 seconds. Stir well.
  4. Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes total.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  8. Use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into small squares before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
  • If you prefer a stovetop method, heat the condensed milk and chocolate chips gently in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Store leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
