You need a simple, rich, and crowd-pleasing dessert? This no-bake peanut butter pie uses a buttery graham cracker crust and a creamy filling that sets up perfectly in the fridge. It is quick to assemble and always a hit at gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips (optional, for topping)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup granulated sugar in a medium bowl. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Place the crust in the freezer while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the filling base: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the peanut butter and 1 cup powdered sugar. Beat until fully combined and creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the peanut butter mixture until no streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Assemble the pie: Spoon the creamy peanut butter filling evenly into the chilled graham cracker crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Chill: Cover the pie loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is firm. This chilling time is necessary for a perfect slice.
  6. Top and serve: Before serving, you can melt the peanut butter chips and drizzle them over the top, or add a chocolate syrup drizzle. Slice and enjoy this indulgent peanut butter dessert.

Notes

  • For an Oreo crust peanut butter pie, substitute the graham cracker crumbs with finely crushed Oreo cookies (about 25 cookies) and use the same amount of butter.
  • If you want a sweeter filling, you can increase the powdered sugar to 1 1/4 cups.
  • Make this ahead! This pie tastes even better when made a day in advance, making it a great make ahead dessert for holidays like Thanksgiving.
